Babes Wodumo, real name Bongekile Simelane, has apparently moved back in with her parents, who are caring for her after she was hospitalized.
This comes after Isolezwe, an IsiZulu daily, reported last month that the musician was seriously ill.
Zimoja claims that the Wololo hitmaker is recovering from “lung-related issues.”
“Babes is fine; she is now preparing for the holiday season; she wants to be completely prepared,” a source informed the site.
According to sources who spoke to Isolezwe, Babes was seriously unwell and had shortness of breath. According to another account, her spouse Mampitsha’s death had taken its toll on her.

The Big Nuz group member died on December 24th after suffering a small stroke. Hlelolenkosi “Sponge” Maphumulo, a 2-year-old infant boy, is the couple’s only child.
While fans have expressed concern over the singer’s health, her sister and manager, Nondumiso Simelane, has stated that she is in good condition.
She told Isolezwe that the celebrity was unable to attend the Durban festivities in July because she was performing outside of the country.
“We missed the event due to our return flight home, but we informed the organizers of both events, and they understood the situation.”
“[Babes Wodumo] is in great health. Maybe her silence on social media is why they are assuming she is not well. She is currently busy with two albums, her own and Mampintshas,” Nondumiso said.
According to Zimoja, Babes is also looking to hire a new professional management team because her sister has been booking gigs knowing that she needs time off to recuperate.
“Her sister is aware of her condition, that she is not physically fit to perform, but she still signs her up, causing her more stress and brand damage,” a source stated.
Babes Wodumo will also be releasing a new album soon. She will also release Mampintsha’s CD, which he was working on before his death.
