Babes Wodumo is reportedly very sick
Bongekile Simelane is a South African choreographer and Gqom artist, she started off at 17 years old as a backup singer for the Kwaito group Big Nuz where she met her late husband Mampintsha whom she got married to in 2021.
Babes Wodumo continued with her career as a dancer and a backup singer until she was featured by Mampintsha on his single titled Amatsegetsege and in 2016 she made her first music debut with her single titled Wololo and she got even got a BET nomination.
After she received numerous nominations at the Metro awards and didn’t win any awards she and her boyfriend at that time took it to social media to voice their disappointment with how she thought the awards were sold to other artist because she thought she deserved a win.
This led her to be suspended for 5 years at the Metro awards. In her career she has been subjected to many controversies.
In December 2022 she lost her husband Mampintsha, leaving behind his wife and son Sponge. Weeks later in January 2023 Babes Wodumo lost her mother in law recently after her husband died.
During the years Babes has lost so much weight after her pregnancy and her fans have always supported her even after she was body-shamed. Recently Isolezwe has reported that the Queen of Gqom is sick and is in a very critical condition.
After making headlines for all the wrong reasons with her frequent social media outbursts, Babes Wodumo seems to be spending more time offline these days
We are praying for her speed recovery and we know she will be fine because Babes is a very brave woman and she is strong.
Her husband died on the 24th of December after battling a stroke; shortly after his death, the deceased mother also died.
Babes mourning doubled but she tried staying strong for her little son whom she had with Mampintsha
She has also been turning down gigs as she’s trying to adjust to her new life.
The Gqom queen promoted her forthcoming album which is reportedly dropping this year.
Recently, Babes Wodumo’s son celebrates his first birthday since Mampintsha’s death, and fans noticed how much he has grown.
She penned him a lovey and lengthy message that impressed fans on Instagram.Babes spoke at large of her mixed feelings and how much she missed his father, Mampintsha.
She showed so many emotions, leaving some of her fans in tears as they remembered Mampintsha
