South African actor Dumisani Dlamini, father of American celebrity Doja Cat – real name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini), married his new bride, Ophelia Mulela, last weekend, and the Say So hitmaker was nowhere to be seen.
According to The Southern African, Dumisa Dlamini broke into the film and entertainment industry in his role as Crocodile in the award-winning movie Sarafina. He has also appeared on several other TV shows, including Isibaya, Shaka Ilembe, Yizo Yizo, and more. The 59-year-old got hitched last weekend, and his famous singer daughter was missing in action.
“Even though the wedding ceremony went ahead as planned, I can tell that he was hurt by what transpired with regards to his daughter’s absence. It raised a lot of questions about their relationship,” the source was quoted as saying.
Doja Cat has previously told her followers that, while she is aware of her father, she has never met him.
“I believe Dumisani will make things right by reaching out to her and allowing her to meet her siblings in person.”It was strange not to see her at the wedding,” the person stated.
According to IOL, Dumisani Dlamini met Doja Cat’s mother, Deborah Sawyer, a Jewish and American actress and painter, while on tour for the Sarafina film.
