At just 29 years old, this activist from Xhora in the Eastern Cape has made it her mission to promote abstinence and cultural preservation through her organization, Inkciyo Eastern Cape. With a strong belief that life is all about the choices we make, Nasizo is unapologetically proud of her decision to remain a virgin.
Speaking to Daily Sun, Nasizo shared her inspiration for starting Inkciyo Eastern Cape. She witnessed the struggles of her older siblings, who became parents at a young age and faced numerous challenges as a result. Their experiences taught her valuable lessons about the importance of making informed choices. “I wanted to make myself and my family proud,” she says. Her Christian upbringing played a significant role in shaping her values, instilling a sense of responsibility to keep her body for Christ.
Nasizo’s commitment to her beliefs hasn’t gone unnoticed. Some men have even offered to buy her luxurious gifts as a show of support for her mission. Yet, she remains grounded, stating, “In society, slay queens have dominated, and I’m not a slay queen.” Instead, she focuses on her goals and aspirations, emphasizing that her happiness comes before anything else.
A graduate of the University of Fort Hare, Nasizo earned her honours degree in social work in 2020, and she’s not stopping there. She’s eager to continue her studies and expand her knowledge. “Marriage currently is not my top priority,” she explains. “I’m happy alone and want to pursue my dreams.” This refreshing perspective highlights the importance of self-love and personal growth before entering a relationship.
Despite being a role model for many in the Eastern Cape, Nasizo faces criticism for her lifestyle choices. Some people question her health simply because she is a virgin at her age, but she confidently asserts, “I’m healthy. I live what I preach.” She acknowledges that it’s not always easy for men to approach her for a date, as she prioritizes her values and seeks connections with like-minded individuals.
In addition to her activism, Nasizo is also a thriving businesswoman involved in catering, decor, and branding. Her diverse interests reflect her commitment to cultural preservation and community engagement. Babalwa Maya, a cultural ambassador, praises Nasizo, saying, “She’s a proud virgin. I’m proud of her. She’s a role model and even mentors my kids.”
