The internet has been buzzing with speculation as people in Mzansi try to piece together the puzzle of Gosiame Sithole’s whereabouts, three years after allegedly giving birth to ten babies. The incident took place in 2021, right in the heart of Pretoria, in Johannesburg.
Contrary to the news, Guinness World Records informed the BBC that they are currently looking into what could potentially be a groundbreaking new world record.Surprisingly, it’s been three years and there hasn’t been a peep about Gosiame Sithole, except for the supposed birth of ten babies. In a surprising turn of events, Gosiame Sithole’s husband has confirmed that his wife has given birth to decuplets, defying the initial scan results. This unexpected news has certainly caught everyone’s attention.
In an interview with Pretoria News in 2021, he humorously remarked, “Well, it’s a lively bunch—seven boys and three girls.” Well, I must say I’m quite pleased. I’m feeling quite sentimental. I’m not much of a talker. On the other hand, it has been confirmed by a reliable family member that Gosiame Sithole indeed welcomed ten babies into the world.According to reports, she welcomed five little ones into the world through natural birth, while the other five were brought into the world via a caesarian section. Gosiame Sithole has once again welcomed new additions to her family. At the time of the incident, they were just six years old.

In response to the reports, Gauteng’s provincial government dismissed the news and warned IOL, the initial publisher of the article, of potential legal consequences. The provincial government was quick to point out that none of the hospitals in the province had any evidence of decuplets, as claimed.
It turns out that all those medical tests have proven that Gosiame Sithole’s supposed pregnancy was nothing but a wild goose chase. Nevertheless, even though the provincial government dismissed the news, IOL remained steadfast in their story.Sithole made quite the entrance, delivering the children at Steve Biko Academic Hospital, much to the delight of the media outlet. According to the publication, it seems the provincial government was attempting to downplay the news.
Where is she now?
She made quite a splash in 2021. Lo and behold, a whole year had passed when a whopping 57-page report was finally unveiled. The report effortlessly brushed aside any suggestions that Gosiame Sithole was unjustly held for a mental healthcare observation.
The report also concluded that her admission for mental health observation may have been justified. In a rather clever move, the provincial government conveniently overlooked the fact that they had actually encouraged Sithole’s husband to report her missing, all in an effort to ensure her arrest.
Nevertheless, she willingly approached the police to address the investigation regarding the missing person. In a surprising twist, Gosiame Sithole has come forward to refute the report that she gave birth to decuplets, stating that she currently has no access to them.Piet Rampedi, the clever editor of Pretoria News, and Iqbal Survé, the brilliant Executive Chairman of Independent Media, which owns Pretoria News, supported her wholeheartedly.
Despite the lack of evidence to support Gosiame Sithole’s claim of giving birth to ten babies, Halima Cisse retains her world record as the sole individual to have delivered a higher number of babies in a single birth.
Meanwhile, a woman in the US has earned herself a spot in the Guinness World Record for delivering the highest number of surviving children in a single birth—a whopping eight! She’s been holding on to that record since 2009.
