Gabisile Tshabalala and Motlatsi Mafatshe, actors and lovers, have been serving couple goals since they made their relationship public on their YouTube channel in February, and they’re now a gift that keeps on giving.
The new celebrity couple, who have had tongues wagging on social media when sharing images of them spending quality time together, launched a “tell-all” YouTube channel in February to give their followers a glimpse into their lives together. The couple recently performed a gospel duet as part of a social media challenge and posted it to their timeline.

We were good friends, never dated before, and fifteen years later, we’re still good friends and lovers. What an amazing human being God has allowed to be in my life. In a recent episode, the two thespians revealed they had been dating for nearly a year and rubbished claims they started seeing each other while they were married.The two stars, who have both been married before, said they took time off after their divorces before exploring new love.
“I did not leave my ex-husband for Motlatsi, I left because the marriage wasn’t working … we tried, I gave my all, and I don’t regret anything. Out of my marriage I’ve got two beautiful children who I love so much,” Gabisile said.
Motlatsi said though he made efforts to make his previous marriage work, he and his ex-wife amicably decided on a split.The actor said he had found love in Gabisile and was in a happy relationship.
“In my case, it felt like a mutual thing. I think the love kind of ended. I remember we both went like, ‘I’m not happy’.Now I’m very happy, she [Gabi] makes me happy.”
“Through Gabi, I saw God. You reminded me of God and how I liked that space because you are such a God-fearing woman. I was like God is repairing me, would I do it again (marry), without a blink of an eye,” added Mafatshe.
In the latest episode of their newly launched YouTube channel “Gabi & Mo”, titled “Why We Divorced (part 1)”, the duo confirmed that although they’ve known each other for years, they started dating just over a year ago.
“There was a rumour that we left our partners to be with each other,” Tshabalala explained.
“I think the majority of the backlash is on me because it appears that I came into his marriage and messed things up for him,” the star added.
When the couple first started dating, they anticipated hatred or negativity towards the relationship, and “when we did, I think God had already prepared my heart.” The pair insisted that their precious marriages have not deterred them from wanting to tie the knot again.
“Do I believe in marriage, and would I do it again? Definitely, I believe in the institution of marriage, and we share the same sentiments.Right now, I’m very happy. She makes me happy,” said Mafatshe, making reference to Tshabalala.
