Hugh Masebenza is a well-known South African actor best recognized for his roles in ‘Scandal’ and ‘Generations.’
However, following his newfound celebrity, he vanished from the spotlight, leaving many to puzzle about his whereabouts.
Masebenza was supposedly homeless and lived on the streets, according to Kaya 959.In the backdrop of the news, several pictures flooded social media leaving many wondering what happened to the actor. In the wake of the news, his family rubbished homeless rumours and made it known that the bubbly actor was okay.
In confirming his condition, a family member said that the actor had been involved in a car crash that harmed his health.
According to Kaya 959, a guy who described himself as Masebenza’s nephew said that the photos were fake. He seemed to disclose that the viral photos of the emaciated actor were taken on a movie set.
“The guy is fine and healthy; he had a film shoot that required him to look like he does in the second image.” I’m publishing this to warn everyone that this is all a fraud!” Rifuwo Masebenza posted about it on Facebook.
However, tweeps revealed that Hugh Masebenza is indeed homeless and has been spotted numerous times in the Pretoria CBD.
This is, without a doubt, not the first time he has been described as homeless. Hugh Masebenza was reported to be homeless in 2015 by the Daily Sun.
Masebenza has not been active on social media or made any public appearances since 2018. He has yet to make a comeback on tiny screens.
Masebenza is well known as “The Savanna Guy,” having appeared in the 2008 Savanna ad. During his brief acting career, he earned headlines for his unrivaled acting talent.
To make ends meet, he later shifted the floor to music in 2017. Little is known about him since then. In light of the news, The South African reported that Masebenza has relocated to Cape Town to pursue his musical career.
