Long-running Scandal! In a health update, actress Joyce Skefu recalled everything she had missed. Her latest update comes as she recovers from a mild stroke in March 2022.
“I miss you, miss work, miss the period before Covid,” she captioned a photo of old coins. “This demonstrates that life is full of surprises as we journey to eternity.”
Skefu continued to thank her followers for their support, adding her health was improving regularly.
Last month, Skefu shared that she was recovering “slowly”.
“This is all grace,” she said.
The former Muvhango actor also stated that she was undergoing various therapies and facing a number of challenges.
Skefu posted a picture of herself on a hospital bed and said she was “kept by the grace of God” when she announced her stroke.
“I sincerely thank you because you were my strength even though I didn’t realise it,” she went on.
On the one-year anniversary of the incident, the singer reflected on how she had to relearn the basics of communication and expressed gratitude for another chance at life.
“I suffered from aphasia.” I couldn’t communicate, write, or read. And I must say that I am fortunate. Many people do not take that away. As a child, I had to learn how to speak, how to say each letter, and how to form a sentence. But I did it joyfully. I felt no anxiety or stress, only peace and calm. I’ve come a long way, and I even gave a speech at my birthday party. I’m nearly there.”
“Thank you to everyone who has kept me in your prayers and in your thoughts. You allowed your light to shine for me. I’ve enjoyed listening and the silence during the year that I’ve needed to learn how to speak. I’ve learned to be content. I’ve learned to appreciate the little things. Life is a gift, and I hope to celebrate it for many years.”
