Jub Jub, a TV presenter and rapper, is scheduled to appear in Johannesburg magistrate’s court on r@pe, attempted murder, and a$sault charges.
Jub-Jub, born Molemo Maarohanye, surrendered to Brixton police on Thursday after a warrant for his arrest was issued.
Mavela Masondo, a Gauteng police spokesperson, confirmed that the case will be heard in magistrate’s court on Thursday.
“Police can confirm that a well-known rapper surrendered to police in Brixton on Thursday, July 27, 2023, after an arrest warrant was issued against him,” he said.

“He is expected to appear before the Johannesburg magistrate’s court today, facing charges of r@pe, attempted murder, and ass@ult,” according to the report.
It is unclear when or how the rapper, known for his popular Moja Love show Uyajola 99, committed the crimes.
According to police sources close to the investigation, Jub Jub’s arrest stems from a case opened by a well-known celebrity and TV star known to Sunday World.
“The matter has been under investigation, and after the docket was taken to the NPA for a decision, it was decided that the suspect needed to be arrested,” said a police officer who declined to be identified because he is not authorized to speak to the media.
“After learning that he was wanted by the police, he decided to turn himself in.”
“The NPA decided to prosecute after police determined that there was a strong case against the suspect.”
According to other sources, TV presenter and hip-hop star was released on R10,000 bail after appearing in the Johannesburg magistrate’s court on Thursday for alleged r@pe, attempted murder, and ass@ult.
