Kelly Khumalo has let down his ex-lover, celebrity traditional doctor Zamokwakhe “Bhaka” Nzama.
Kelly Khumalo allegedly dropped an invitation to attend Bhaka’s birthday bash as a VIP guest. She was also supposed to perform for Bhaka and the audience, but she never did.
On Saturday (October 14), the King Bhaka Music Festival was held in Mid Illovo, south of Durban. Bhaka’s 42nd birthday was celebrated at the music event.
Kelly was announced as the main artist from the start, and her image appeared on posters and other advertisements for the event.Khumalo, however, dismissed ever receiving Bhaka’s invite or booking through her manager, Khothatso Tsotetsi.
“Kelly was not aware of this event and she never received the booking. In fact, she was in Bloemfontein on Saturday and she had no commitments in Durban. It’s the first time we hear about Bhaka’s event,” Tsotetsi said.
Bhaka stated on booking Khumalo, saying, “I booked Kelly Khumalo through her sister, Zandie Khumalo-Gumede.” I felt bad for her because she was being canceled everywhere she went.
“I even paid the deposit for Kelly Khumalo. Unfortunately I cannot disclose proof of payments as they are confidential documents. I was also confused when she did not come.”
