Lavish, an award-winning Hela Media series, is led by popular actress Jessica Nkosi, who plays Zozi, a flamboyant woman who always wants to be noticed.
Phil Mphela, an entertainment commentator, has announced that Mzansi Magic’s popular series Lavish has been renewed for a second season.
Jessica Nkosi, best known for her roles in The Queen and Isibaya, revealed in an interview with Sunday World that her Lavish character Zozi is a fabulous fashionista who is wealthy.
Nkosi also reveals that the series is domestic suspense at its very best as it takes seemingly ordinary people and puts them in an extraordinary situation, pushing them to their limits, and then lets the chaos unfold in front of us.
“One minute you think she’s one way, but desperation makes her behave in another, you can never be sure of what she will do.”
Her character Zozi does not know how to juggle fame and family even though she has many staff members that help with everything while she just gets to be her best self and live her best life.
Nolo Seabi, a former Scandal! actress, and Sdumo Mtshali, a former The Estate and Isibaya actor, will also feature on the show.
Ayanda Bandla, who starred in Smoke and Mirrors, portrays Kat, an ambitious workaholic who balances dating, motherhood, and a successful career. Kat aspires to be at the top of the political hierarchy because she comes from a well-known political family.
The character of Nomzamo, played by actress Kanyi Nokwe, is a fiercely glamorous vixen with plenty of money to burn but a bit rough around the edges. While her partner wants a committed wife, Nomzamo wants to build an empire.
