Orlando Pirates player Thembinkosi Lorch may have implicitly answered the question of whether he and actress Natasha Thahane have a child together.
The popular Bucs player appeared in Randburg Magistrate’s Court last week, pleading for a reduced sentence after being found guilty in June of beating his ex-girlfriend, Fundiswa Nokuphiwa Mathithibala.
Lorch and Mathithibala’s relationship came to light in September 2020 when the Sunday World reported that he was detained for beating her.
On the other hand, in Lorch’s mitigation of sentence, his legal representative, Pierre de Kock, told the court that he has two children, aged eight and three.
“As a soccer player, his salary fluctuates, and his salary is roughly R50,000. He has to send money to his first child, who lives with their mother in Qwa-Qwa, and he lives with his other child. My client will appreciate a suspended sentence,” said De Kock.
He is not the father of Thahane’s one-year-old son, according to this information.
In June 2021, Lorch and Thahane made headlines when Twitter FBIs discovered them having a romantic getaway in Zanzibar. They quickly rose to the status of one of Mzansi’s favorite couples.
Although Lorch initially denied their relationship, it soon became evident that they were in love when the footballer received a heartfelt birthday congratulation from the former Skeem Saam and The Queen actress in July of that same year.
