In the latest episode of his popular podcast, Podcast and Chill, South African media personality MacG launched a scathing attack on actress and businesswoman Amanda du Pont. In a viral clip, MacG expressed his vehement disdain for Du Pont, labeling her as an “absolute, disgusting human being” and claiming that she is “so vile.”
MacG declared:
"I wanna give a big f you to Amanda Du-Pont. What an absolute, disgusting human being. She is so vile bro. I detest her."
MacG’s outburst stems from his belief that Du Pont’s actions have had a significant financial impact on his podcast network. He alleged that after Du Pont went on Instagram Live and called for individuals who had been sexually violated by Uyajola 9/9 host Jub Jub to come forward, the podcast lost several sponsorship deals and revenue.
MacG claimed that despite no one coming forward to corroborate Du Pont’s claims, the damage had already been done, and they still feel the effects of her video to this day.
Addressing the Jub Jub case, MacG stated that the TV personality was ultimately vindicated, and he questioned why Du Pont had not been sued for her actions. However, MacG claimed that Du Pont had connections that prevented the lawsuit from moving forward.
MacG said:
"This is a person who went to Instagram live and said if there are people who were sexually violated by me should come forward. Subsequent to that, she dragged my name but no one came out. We lost sponsors and we lost money," he said
The revelations from MacG’s podcast have sparked a strong reaction from South African social media users, with many expressing shock and calling for “cancel culture” to take its course, given the apparent vindication of Jub Jub. The ongoing feud between MacG and Amanda du Pont has once again highlighted the complex and often contentious nature of the country’s entertainment industry.
