Masechaba Khumalo claims to be a virgin when Jub Jub allegedly raped her.
Masechaba Khumalo, a presenter, has spoken out about the day rapper and ‘Uyajola 9/9’ anchor Jub Jub allegedly raped her.
Masechaba Khumalo, a radio and television personality who is one of four complainants in the Jub Jub case, claims she was just 16 years old and a virgin when the rapper allegedly sexually abused her.
The facts of the rape claims she has leveled against the Uyajola 9/9 anchor, – actual name is Molemo Maarohanye – are revealed in a police statement she submitted, according to Sunday World.
The former Big Debate host said she dated the rapper for a few months in 1999 or 2000, while she was in grade 11 or 12. She alleges she was a virgin at the time, and she communicated this with the musician.
Masechaba said the rapper had invited her over for a movie and popcorn at the home where he lived with his parents in Naturena, Johannesburg. When she arrived, she says his parents were leaving, and they exchanged pleasantries.
She stated that they had kissed and watched a movie before he suggested they proceed to the bedroom.
“He requested we move to the bedroom in case his parents come back … . He tried to persuade me to have sex … I told him I was not ready. I repeatedly said ‘no’ and kept pushing him away and even used my knees and my legs to push him off because he was on top of me.
“He told me it would be quick and I should relax. A physical struggle ensued … He eventually overpowered me, pulled my legs open, and penetrated me. I was numb and in complete shock. I stopped fighting. I was paralyzed. The experience was brief and painful. I was still numb afterwards. I put on my clothes and went home,” she said.
The next day, according to Masechaba, Jub Jub called her and explained that she needed to get to the pharmacy and get morning-after pills to prevent pregnancy. The presenter says she did as instructed.
Masechaba also said that she suffered depression and anxiety after the alleged incident.
The Ndikhokhele hitmaker is charged with 13 charges, including rape, indecent assault, assault with intent to inflict serious bodily damage, and abduction.
Jub Jub is scheduled to appear in court again on November 8 after his lawyer, Ntsako Baloyi, asked a lengthy postponement to investigate all possible routes for dismissing the accusations.
