South African actor Khanyisani Kheswa, known as Mbuso on Isitha the Enemy, is killing his character as prince., He is most recognized for his role as Mzi, the main character, in the Mzansi Magic drama series Vula Vala.
On April 11, 1992, he was born in Durban, South Africa. He will be 31 years old in 2023, and his birthday will fall on April 11 each year. He attended J.L. Dube High School, where he graduated in 2011, and then continued on to the Creative Arts College, where he earned his degree in 2015. He was born and raised in Durban.

Active in the Durban theatre scene since graduating, Khanyisani made his television debut in a guest role in an episode of the SABC1 docu-drama reality series Now or Never which aired on 27 March, 2017 (Season 5, Episode 8).
The following month he co-starred in an Mzansi Original TV Movie on Mzansi Magic called Ntwana Yam, about four friends who find a gun and buy themselves a world of trouble. It first aired on Saturday 8 April, 2017.
He landed his first starring role in television when he was cast as Mzi, a young soccer player who leaves Ladysmith to find a better life in Johannesburg, in the Mzansi Magic soccer drama Vula Vala.
Kheswa won Best Newcomer in Television in 2022 at the Simon Mabhunu Sabela Awards.
“Vula Vala” which changed his life. It tells the story of a young man in his 20s, who is an aspiring football player. He leaves Ladysmith to go work for his uncle and to find a better life in Johannesburg.
Kheswa said his character in the drama series related to him in a way because there was a time when he stayed at home trying to find a job just like how Mzikayise was at home trying with football.
“In 2016, I decided to go to Johannesburg to find greener pastures just like how Mzi also went to Joburg with his uncle to try to find a career in football. We related like that; coming from that background and trying to make it in life in another province,” he said.
Kheswa said the Best Newcomer in Television award meant a lot to him.
“I was so happy for the recognition. The nomination itself came as a surprise. There’s a friend of mine who always told me that I should always do my best because ‘you will never know who is watching’ and this award was evidence”, he said.
