Generations star Millicent Mashile and Innocent Sadiki, an actor in Skeem Saam, are in mourning for their grandma.
Millicent Mashile and Innocent Sadiki, actors and content creators, are devastated by the loss of their grandmother, who raised them after their mother passed away.
Mashile recalls the day she went into labor with Kganya, telling Zimoja, “This was after a complicated delivery with Kganya. I was in excruciating pain. I only wanted to talk to my Gogo, but I didn’t want her to know that I was in discomfort.
She also tells the tabloid that she will miss having a mother and a grandmother inside of her and can’t believe she isn’t able to call her right away because doing so would have helped lessen the pain.
“The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord. We were blessed to have been given one of the best.”
“God knew she would be exactly what we needed. My heart is filled with gratitude to God for your life, your heart, your love Gogo.”
The Generations star adds that she’s happy her grandmother is no longer in pain. It’s been a tough couple of months, for their queen.
Friday night 😭💔. The night before Gogos send off was one of the hardest nights for me. Jo 💔 I need God now more than ever. #RIP Gogo
Innocent Sadiki, used her Instagram account to post videos and photos of her grieving her grandmother’s passing.
“Farewell my Queen, my best friend, my love, my Gigi, my everything, my heart, my strength. The day I dreaded all my life. The worst nightmare.”
“That day has come and for the first time, I felt my heart jumping out of my chest. I can’t believe you going to finally meet your daughter and my mother again. Your precious baby girl. Have fun girls.”
Sadiki previously stated on their YouTube channel that she struggled to remember her past due to the emotional pain caused by her parents’ deaths.
“It’s the memory loss for me as well. I didn’t realise that until I was married, until I had children. I know my mom from a picture; I don’t know her as a person. I have zero memories of my mom.”
Sadiki also stated to TshisaLIVE in 2017 that their grandma reared them and that their sister kept knowledge about their father to herself in order to protect them.
When she and her sister tried to contact their father, they were received with “coldness,” and they didn’t see him again until he was on his death bed after an “attempted murder.”
