Miss Kwara a.k.a Ufa Dania
Hey there, pageant fans! Big news is brewing in the Miss Universe Nigeria competition, and it’s all about the fabulous Ufa Dania, who’s representing Kwara State. In a thrilling turn of events, Ufa has just overtaken Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina from Taraba State in the public voting race, just hours before the polls close on Friday. Talk about a nail-biter!
For quite some time, Chidimma held the lead, but it seems that Ufa’s charm and charisma have captivated the public’s attention in a big way. Just yesterday, she was sitting pretty with fewer than 10,000 votes, but today? That number has soared past 20,000! Meanwhile, Chidimma is trailing closely behind with just over 18,000 votes. It’s anyone’s game at this point!
What makes Ufa stand out in this competition? Well, she’s not your typical pageant contestant. This dark-skinned, plus-sized beauty is on a mission to redefine beauty standards in the industry. Her sudden surge in popularity can be credited to her unapologetic confidence in embracing her curves. Ufa’s message resonates deeply with many African women who see themselves reflected in her journey.
In her own words, Ufa boldly states, “I may not look like a standard pageant girl, but I beg to differ. I cannot be boxed. The trajectory of my life has led me to this moment. I’ve always been chubby. I came into the world with the fullness of God. I may not fit the mould, but that’s the beauty of it. I’m here to break the mould. I am ready to inspire, lead and make a lasting difference.”
At just 25 years old, Ufa is more than just a pretty face. She’s a multifaceted content creator, photographer, stylist, and filmmaker. Not only that, but she’s also the founder of the Minds and Heart Foundation, an NGO dedicated to girls’ education, female empowerment, and mental health advocacy. Ufa is passionate about giving back to her community, and she firmly believes that true queens are defined by their contributions rather than their looks.
“What makes a woman a true queen is not just her looks but rather that she pays heed to the cries and the needs of the people in her community. When you are in the community helping people, nobody cares if you’re fat, slim, or tall; what matters is helping people,” she explains.
As the countdown to the grand finale of Miss Universe Nigeria heats up, the stakes couldn’t be higher. The top three contestants with the most public votes will secure a fast track to the top 10 in the finale, which is happening this Saturday at the Convention Centre, Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos. And let’s not forget the winner will walk away with a whopping ₦10 million (that’s about R115,752)!
With Ufa Dania shaking things up and challenging the norms, we can’t wait to see how this competition unfolds. Whether she takes home the crown or not, she’s already making waves and inspiring a new generation of women to embrace their true selves. So, keep those votes coming, and let’s see where this incredible journey takes her!
