‘Skeem Saam’ most-hated character Mr Kgomo (played by Lebogang Oliphant) will return to Turfloop Hospital in August.
Fans of the SABC1 soapie Skeem Saam will be dismayed to learn that the show’s most despised character, Mr Kgomo, will be reinstated in August.
The TVSA Skeem Saam August teasers suggest that Mr Obed Kgomo, who was sacked by the board in July, will return to Turfloop Hospital as superintendent.
The teaser for Tuesday, August 29th says, “The entire Turf Hospital is shaken by an unexpected announcement.”
The teaser for Thursday, August 31 states, “An old captain’s return to his ship irritates everyone.”
The teasers also reveal that Shoki, who works in Human Resources at Turfloop Hospital will quit her job days before Obed Kgomo’s return.
Though it is unclear how he will get reinstated, we can assume that he will find a loophole in his dismissal from the hospital, e.g. he previously revealed that he’s never received a warning before getting fired.
Skeem Saam’s popular character, Mr Obed Kgomo, was removed as a superintendent at Turfloop Hospital when the board discovered he stole R80,000 and had an affair with his receptionist, Melita.
Obed has been living in a motel since his wife, Ivy Kgomo, evicted him, and he has run out of money because he is no longer employed.
On Friday, July 21, he received a phone call from the hospital in which he was advised to repay the R80,000 he took.
Dr. Hlongwane claimed at his hearing this week that he transferred R80 000 into his account for suppliers who haven’t been paid in three months.
The teaser for Monday, July 24 suggests that he may approach Alfred for lodging because he does not have enough money to pay for his current residence.
“A down and out Mr Kgomo asks Alfred for a very emasculating favor,” the teaser says.
