“My health” Stephanie Ndlovu has abstained from drinking alcohol.
In a recent episode of her YouTube channel, the actress reflected on her journey.
“I haven’t had alcoholic beverages in four months.” One of the causes was related to health. I’ve been trying to lose weight.”
“I discovered that when I had a drink, it rarely ended with one glass of wine, and then when you convert all those calories, it goes to a bit of a binge weekend, so I was just like, This isn’t helping me in any way.” But that isn’t the major reason,” she explained.
“For a while, even before I was pregnant, I would tell Hungani [that] I have this conviction… This is just a personal thing. It’s been one of those things I’ve been toying back and forth with, whether I want to go on a sabbatical. I’m still on that sabbatical, and I don’t know if it’s still a sabbatical, if it’s going to stay a sabbatical, or if I’m not going to drink forever.”
Stephanie stated that while she was adjusting to her new lifestyle, she was glad to have gotten this far and see how it has benefited her weight loss quest.
Mihlali Ndamase celebrated 30 days of sobriety on her timeline in March. On her Instagram stories, the social media star stated that she was in a good place.
“I’ve been sober for 30 days. I completed it. I’m at my happiest, most productive, and healthiest when I’m not drinking. I haven’t felt like this in months. “By far the best decision I’ve ever made,” she wrote.
Recently, Hungani and his wife, Stephanie Ndlovu, released the trailer for their short film LoveLocked.
The film, which was shot during Covid-19, follows a couple’s loving relationship in uncertain times as their mental health gets affected.
Their LoveLocked project, directed by Carmen Sangion, is part of a One (Nine) anthology in which nine female directors from around the world collaborate to explore what it means to establish connection in a time of isolation.
Hungani and Stephanie get to spend a lot of time together because they work on different projects together.
