Sibusisiwe Jili and Linda Majola, two new Uzalo actors, are ready to bring drama.
Uzalo, MZANSI’S most watched soapie, is determined to maintain its lead.
To shake things up, the SABC1 show has added two new faces.
Former The Queen actress Sibusisiwe Jili debuted on Wednesday, June 7, and former The Wife actor Linda Majola will debut on Tuesday, June 13.
Jili will join the Mhlongo family as Nomkhosi Mhlongo, while Majola will play a self-proclaimed influencer, bringing a new dimension of excitement, drama, and intrigue to the show.
Nomkhosi is the cousin of one of the show’s stars, Nkunzi Mhlongo, according to series producer King David Mukwevho. He stated that he will give Nkunzi a difficult time as she faces obstacles and competes with him for the coveted chieftaincy seat.
“Nomkhosi’s character promises to elicit intense conflicts and highlight her unwavering determination.” “The legendary Sibusisiwe Jili brilliantly embodies the strength, intelligence, and unwavering determination that defines Nomkhosi’s character,” Mukwevho said.
Mukwevho stated that the talented Linda, who played Hlomu’s twin sister Langa on The Wife, brings Mzamo Shezi to life with his exceptional acting abilities.
“Linda’s portrayal of Mzamo’s resilience, vulnerability, and quest for acceptance will undoubtedly captivate and pique viewers’ interest in what lies ahead for his character.”
“Linda Majola and Sibusisiwe Jili’s exceptional talents and magnetic performances bring Mzamo Shezi and Nomkhosi Mhlongo to life with unparalleled depth and authenticity,” he wrote.
Uzalo continues to release and hire new actors, most recently Nompilo Maphumulo, who played Nosipho, Menzi Biyela, who played Pastor Gwala, and Ronald Mkhwanazi, who played Nsimbi.
They recently hired Menzi Nxumalo and Noluthando Meje, both of whom play detectives, as well as Nkanyiso Mchunu and Fanele Ntuli.
