Music executive Nota Nhlamulo Baloyi and his estranged wife, Gugulethu Khumalo, professionally recognized as Berita, have formally concluded their marriage. The couple cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split, bringing an end to their once high-profile relationship, according to Sunday World.
In 2022, Berita disclosed her separation from her then-partner, Nota Baloyi, after a year of marriage. She posted an apology to YouTuber Mihlali on her X timeline following negative remarks made by Nota.
Berita disclosed she departed her marital residence in January 2022 and indicated that Nota’s purported mental health challenges had strained their relationship.
Following a contentious exchange regarding their separation and Nota assigning blame, he disclosed on Wednesday his intention to seek legal resolution for his divorce from Berita.Nota took to his social media accounts to celebrate that he managed to get half of his assets and lost nothing in the process.
During an interview with Kaya959 in February last year, Berita revealed vivid memories of the day she ended her marriage. On that day, she contacted a therapist and realized she was in a narcissistically abusive relationship with her estranged husband, Nota Baloyi.
“I spent an hour and a-half telling him exactly what was going on in the relationship, and the entire time I thought it was rage. This is someone who is going through stuff. The day I learned that I was in an abusive relationship, I did not stay one minute and made plans to get out of there,” she said.
Upon leaving, she checked into a Bed and Breakfast and never went back to her marital home.“When we were dating and when we first got married, I only really started to see the signs of what was going on and that I was in too deep. On December 21 2021 was the day I stopped loving him and had to break loose,” she said
