Thuli Phongolo, a DJ and actor, addressed to comments on her first Instagram post since her joint statement with DJ Maphorisa following the assault case.
Thuli Phongolo, an actress and DJ, had tongues churning on Instagram after sharing a photo of herself, fueling pregnancy rumors.
The former Generations: The Legacy actress, who returned to social media after taking a break and deleting all her posts, posted a beautiful snap of herself with the caption: “Somebody’s gonna save you one day… and that person happens to be yourself.”
While many people complimented her beauty, others claimed she looks pregnant in the image.
Thuli, on the other hand, responded sarcastically, joking that she is going to fire her beauty staff for making her look pregnant: “I think my edges are giving me the appearance of being pregnant, guys, but don’t worry, I’m firing the entire team for this blunder because I told them!” Anyway, THANK YOU for your support, people.”

On the same social networking page, the 29-year-old Rockville actress sarcastically posted: “My manager going at it after being fired for allowing me to look pregnant on my FIRST POST!”
DJ Maphorisa appeared in Randburg Magistrate’s Court on June 14 for the gender-based violence (GBV) charge filed against him.
This comes after the Mnike hitmaker was granted bail last month after his girlfriend Thuli accused him of assaulting and strangling her after a quarrel in her Sandton, Johannesburg, home.
The former Thuli said in a police statement at the time that Maphorisa became hostile and hit her in the chest. He is also accused of slapping her across the face.
“He grabbed me aggressively by the neck and took me to the balcony,” the police statement said.

Although she filed a withdrawal statement the day Maphorisa was detained, her plea had not been finalized since the NPA required time to investigate, therefore the case was postponed to June 14.
However, the matter was postponed on the day of the hearing since there were no state officials present.
Prior to the court date, the couple issued a joint statement in which they stated their desire to deal with the situation quietly.
