Mlungisi, the most despised character in Umkhokha: The Curse, played by Uzalo actor Nkanyiso Mchunu, has left the Mzansi Magic telenovela.
The TVSA Umkhokha: The Curse September teasers reveal that Mlungisi will commit suicide and his brothers will have to lash his body to remove the curse.
The Thursday, 21 September teaser reads: “The curse finds its way to Mkhululi and nothing, but darkness prevails.”
The teasers also confirm that Mkhulu’s half-brothers Khulekani or Siphamandla must lash his body to remove the curse in the family.
Friday, 22 September: “Mlungisi’s death shakes the family, Khulekani and Siphamandla must decide who’s going to stop Umkhokha and lash Mlungisi’s body. “
Mlungisi also known as Mkhulu was one of the most-hated characters in the faith-based telenovela as he abused his brother Siphamandla (Nay Maps) and misused the church’s funds
The teasers for Umkhokha: The Curse also indicate that Mlungisi’s wife Nokubonga and Siphamandla’s wife Mabusi will both become pregnant at the same time.
Viewers of the telenovela predict that Nokubonga’s baby will die because she is carrying Mamzobe’s cursed grandchild. In a previous season, a sangoma confessed to Mamzobe that she had murdered her grandchild.
Mamzobe will also return home and agree to her husband’s proposal of a polygamous marriage after he has impregnated her sister, Zodwa , for the second time.
