Rasta is a well-known painter. The artist, real name Lebani Sirejenje, was among the thousands that greeted the Springboks at Johannesburg’s OR Tambo Airport on Tuesday, October 31 after the South African national rugby team won the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
As the tournament’s fourth victor, the Springboks established Rugby World Cup history. They defeated New Zealand’s All Blacks in the Rugby World Cup final on Saturday, October 28, in Paris, France, by a score of 12-11.
When the Springboks landed home in South Africa after raising the South African flag high in Europe, they were greeted as heroes by a large number of South Africans at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.

In the huge crowd was also Rasta, the artist, who had waited with a special surprise for the Boks. Rasta welcomed the World Cup champions with paintings of them, which have since had some people scratching their heads in confusion. This comes after the popular painter took to his colorful social media pages and posted the images online.
The Springboks’ Mzansi trip has begun with the trophy. The rugby squad began the tour in Gauteng and will be in Cape Town on Friday; they will be in KwaZulu Natal on Saturday before concluding the journey in East London, Eastern Cape, on Sunday, according to Planet Rugby.
