One month after his birth, the name of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s second child has been revealed.
The couple called their infant daughter Riot Rose Mayers, according to a birth certificate acquired by The Blast.
The infant was also delivered on August 1st at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, according to the certificate.
The singer turned beauty mogul, 35, and the rapper, 34, appear to have established a naming tradition, giving their children names beginning with the letter R.
The couple previously welcomed their first son, RZA Athelston Mayers, who was named in tribute to Wu-Tang Clan leader RZA, in May 2022.
Their new baby’s name may be a reference to A$AP Rocky’s latest tune, ‘Riot,’ which was released in July and featured Pharrell Williams.
Rihanna announced her second pregnancy during her 2023 Super Bowl halftime show performance in February, when she was seen stroking her tummy on stage, causing many spectators to speculate that she was pregnant. Shortly after the concert, a spokesman for the singer confirmed the news.
Following the announcement of their son’s birth last month, insiders informed Entertainment Tonight that the new parents will “spend the early days of parenthood out of the public eye and will not make any immediate plans to debut the new baby.”
The Fenty Beauty creator and performer has already addressed her decision to post photographs and videos of her eldest child on social media.
She told British Vogue earlier this year that she published images of RZA on the gossip blog Hollywood Unlocked and released a video of him on TikTok after discovering that paparazzi had taken shots of him without her permission.
