Wedding bells continue to ring for Mzansi celebrities following the announcement by Congolese-South African rapper and TV presenter Deko Barbara-Jessica Wedi, professionally known as Rouge, that she is officially off the dating market.
This comes after the Dololo hitmaker announced on Instagram that she is engaged to be married to her long-term partner.
In a social media post on Sunday, the South African Music Awards nominee expressed her excitement about marrying her best friend, saying God’s timing is perfect.
“I’m married!” God’s timing is impeccable. “I will do this for the rest of my life with my best friend,” she wrote.
Rouge’s engagement comes after one of Mzansi’s finest musicians, Bulelwa “Zahara” Mkutukana, announced that she will be walking down the isle later this year.
After getting engaged to her boyfriend and engineer Mpho Xaba in March, the Loliwe hitmaker is expected to marry in November 2023.
The news of their engagement quickly spread like wildfire, and Rouge’s friends and family showered her with an outpouring of love and warm wishes. Social media platforms erupted with congratulatory messages, applauding the couple’s love story and expressing excitement for their future union.
Hungani Ndlovu, an actor, tweeted, “Ishuuuuuu! Congratulations to both of you.
This is stunning.” DJ Ms Cosmo also expressed her joy for the couple, saying, “Yaaaaaaayyy! I’m overjoyed for you both. Congratulations, Barbs and Ma.
May God bless your marriage.” Rapper Solo also congratulated the family, writing, “Congratulations, family! God bless your marriage.”
In other news, Metro FM host Khutso Theledi is also getting married. She announced her engagement on Instagram in April, sharing photos of the special occasion at Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort in Mozambique.
