Sharon Muvhango’s real name is Cindy Magidimisa. She was born in Limpopo on April 21, 1991, at 31 years old. Little is known about her early years and romantic relationships. However, we are aware that the celebrity adheres to her religious beliefs because she routinely shares biblical verses on her social media profiles.
In 2016, Candy debuted as Mpho’s (Chief Azwindini’s wife) friend “Shaz or Sharon” on Muvhango. She joined the soap opera among actors who were making a comeback, such as Azwi Rambuda, Pandelani Mulaudzi, and Ndivhuwo Mudau. The four women were going to make the other women in the village green with envy and wreak havoc.“We are coming in as the ‘Kardashians,” they said
Candy is the Audi brand’s representative in Polokwane, Limpopo. As a result, she was awarded an Audi A3 in February 2021, making her a real brand ambassador for Audi. “Audi Polokwane gave me this adorable baby as a gift today.” ‘I am a member of this family. Here is to an incredible adventure with @polokwaneaudi #AudiCentrePolokwane,’ she said on Instagram.
In 2021, she experienced online bullying from people who used her as a meme. However, she overcame the darkness by creating a meme album and reposting all of those memes, giving those who experience cyberbullying the confidence to laugh at their own flaws and imperfections. Any hurtful joke made about a person is less painful as a result. It weakens the bully, according to Candy
Refusing to be mocked because of her meme-prone expressions, Candy decided to take her power back and used the same memes that were meant to humiliate her to empower others.
“I did this meme album to empower those who are victims of cyber bullying to laugh at themselves, their faults and imperfections. This removes the sting from any bad joke about a person. It disempowers the bully,” says the Limpopo-born actress.
“What matters is what you think about yourself and how you see yourself. It begins with the conversations you hold with yourself,” she says.
The actress added that many successful comedians were once victims of bullying and ridicule, but it was laughing at themselves that birthed the humour in them and she was using the same approach.
It all began when she was in pre-school, preparing for her first stage acting role. By the age of 11, she knew her heart was in acting.
Candy Magidimisa would watch Connie Ferguson play Karabo Moroka on Generations, Sindi Dlathu play her iconic character of Thandaza Mukwevho on Muvhango and like most, she fell in love with the art instantly through them
But she hated studying banking at the University of Johannesburg, so she had the difficult conversation with her mother.
“My mother finally allowed me to go and study what I love, which is a Bachelor of Arts in live performance, majoring in acting [at AFDA]” and she got her degree.
For someone who had went to Johannesburg because she believed that’s where her puzzle would come together, she never thought her breakthrough would actually come from where she was born and raised – Venda.
Although she started small, playing Sharon on Muvhango has been a full circle experience.
“I started acting on Muvhango as a Vendashian, Mpho’s friend who was just a model supporting Mpho’s storyline. But my character grew as I became Gizara Mukwevho’s daughter, a Royal member. Then I became Dukathole manager and now I’m a businesswoman in my own story, owning Waterside restaurant. And only God knows what’s next,” she tells Drum.
She has had no babies so far and is not yet married. What she considered her baby is her new car which she bought for herself. She captioned it on her Instagram: “I call her a miracle baby. Better days, God is faithful.”
