“I have been getting alot of messages about the last post my wife shared about her depression. I just want to put it out there in the open. I just want to be open, for everyone why this is happening. The main reason my wife is going through the depression is because of me. I am the main reason she’s been depressed for so long.”
“It all started from the beginning of our marriage. I wasn’t a good person. I was a very bad person, very, very bad. I did a lot. I’ve been emotionally abusive, and it took me a while to see that. The one thing that’s sad is I keep doing it. I am not fixing; I keep making things worse. I am doing this on social media because she’s been attacked by people on social media, journalists, ” he said
In 2021, Seleka took to social media to admit that he is partially to blame for his wife’s sadness.The actor claimed in a since-deleted Instagram post that he had been emotionally and mentally abusive to her.Seleka expressed deep regret for his actions and vowed to seek help and work on himself to become a better partner. He emphasized the importance of acknowledging one’s mistakes and taking responsibility for them in order to grow and change for the better. “The main reason my wife is going through her depression…I should say that all of it, is because of me. I am the reason she has been so depressed for so long and the one thing that’s the worst is I haven’t been there for her. I was emotionally and mentally abusive to her,” he said at the time."
