Thabiso Molokomme, a talented Skeem Saam actor and YoTV host, is urging academics to persevere.
He told the Daily Sun how amazing it felt to have his parents proud of him after his success at the University of Johannesburg.
Thabiso urged those who were still studying to persevere until they finished their courses.
All in all, the 21-year-old accumulated 20 distinctions for his Diploma in Operations Management.
He revealed that, despite the difficult road ahead, he was able to accomplish what he had been striving for all along. And he considered himself fortunate to have a family that had supported him through the years.
“I consider myself fortunate to have my family join me in celebrating this magical moment.” “They give me the freedom to go where I want and all the support I need to succeed,” he stated.
He had to balance his studies with working in the entertainment sector while studying.
“It was not excruciatingly hard managing the two because we had online learning for two years. This afforded me the time to film for YoTV during the day and study at night,” he said.
He also stated that education provided him with intellectual confidence and several options.
“It was not excruciatingly hard managing the two because we had online learning for two years. This afforded me the time to film for YoTV during the day and study at night,” he said.
“It also taught me life skills that I would not have acquired had I not prioritized my education.” “As my boss on Skeem Saam always says, opportunity always meets preparation,” he explained.
Thabiso explained that creating goals and working hard to accomplish them has shown to help people thrive in life.
