After a huge break and recognition, many actors move on to greater and better opportunities.
But this one swears he’ll stick with his day-one show, Skeem Saam, till he retires.
Tshepo Senatle has portrayed the character Koloi Shivambu on the renowned SABC1 drama Skeem Saam for many years. He worked various jobs before getting his desired career as an actor.
Tshepo began as an extra on the award-winning Skeem Saam before getting one of the show’s major roles.
The 26-year-old from Ottosdal, North West, said he adores the show and his role.
“I’m very much attached to it because it’s one of those long-standing works I have done”
“I want to stick to doing this job until I retire. I’m that one employee who wants to stick to doing one job for life,” he said.
“I was only raised by working women who were always on my case about finding a job and keeping it until I retired. My father retired doing one job and one job only,” he said.
When questioned if Skeem Saam paid him enough, the actor stated that the money was never enough.
“I don’t think there’s anyone who would say they are getting enough salary. I love the work more than anything. I’m an artist and once you are an artist, it’s easy to offload everything that comes with life, and you can do it easier with your work,”
