Lethabo Mekoa, who joined the SABC1 soap opera as the rebellious teenager Ntswaki, is four years older than her Skeem Saam character.
The talented actress Lethabo Mekoa is currently 19 years old, as she was born on September 14, 2004 in Pretoria.
The star, who pursued her high school at Prestige College secured three awards at the end of 2022 during her high school career.
“Lethabo participated in The International Arts Talent Showcase on the 25th of September 2021 where she obtained a scholarship and a callback to perform in New York, USA,” reports the publication.
The 19-year-old actress Lethabo Mekoa joined the educational soap opera Skeem Saam in November 2022 as Meikie Maputla’s (Harriet Manamela) cousin Ntswaki.
Her character is a 15-year-old, grade 9 learner at Turfloop High who is both rebellious and smart.
Lethabo developed a liking for performing from his time in school and church at a very young age. She participated in all activities that were a part of it, including acting, modeling, presenting, dancing, poetry, singing, playing hockey and netball at school. She was also excellent at public speaking. She recently appeared in the Modjadji play, which was performed at the Atterbury Theatre on July 20, 2022. She is currently majoring in drama.
She competed in the Tyler Perry Studios’ regional auditions on August 14, 2021, earning the right to appear at the International Arts and Talents. Lethabo was invited to participate in the International ARTS Talent Showcase and was selected as the best actress. She also received a scholarship for $60 000 to attend the Arts College in Los Angeles in 2023 and the opportunity to showcase her extraordinary talent from July 10 through July 15, 2022. (2)
She intended to take part in hobbies like acting, singing, modeling, and theater. She has been talking to the pupils at Prestige College in Hammanskraal about her experience. Currently, she works with and motivates her neighborhood’s other young people on the weekends to cut back on drug use.
