After claiming earlier this week that the show had taken down his forthcoming character Bentley Majozi from their social media, Entangled actor Vuyo Dabula now confirms that he will be featured in Uzalo.
Vuyo Dabula, a prominent actor, made news on Thursday, September 28 after stating that Uzalo erased his character, Bentley Majozi’s, Instagram post.
According to TshisaLIVE, Dabula and Uzalo have reached an agreement and cleared the air.
“Bentley #bentleymajozi@sabc1_mzansifosho @uzalo_sabc1. We are here. I had an amicable conversation with @uzalo_sabc1 about the removal of the new character post, now the fact that they called me to assure me that there is no issue and offering an explanation says a lot about the spirit of this production.”
“I am forever grateful that is a family move, you felt my pain and responded even in your position of power … that is not very common,” said Dabula.
Stained Glass TV, who are producers of the SABC1 soap opera Uzalo, recently announced changes and additions for the upcoming season.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled with the exceptional talents we have welcomed to our Uzalo/SABC1 family. We are excited about the incredible journeys their characters will embark upon.”
“The introduction of these new characters is a testament to our commitment to storytelling excellence.”
The Queen Sono actor was cast as Bentley Majozi with Nonhle Jali and Slee Ndlovu from the Real Housewives of Durban.
Wiseman Mncube, who portrayed Sibonelo from season five to season nine, has left the show, and Dabula is poised to replace him.
Mncube has been cast as the protagonist in Mzansi Magic’s forthcoming drama My Brother’s Keeper.
