A teen has turned her father into a viral star after sharing a video of him enthusiastically dancing in a suit after his divorce was finalized.
TikTok user Kyla Fitzpatrick, who uses the handle @kylakjpriv, gave few details when she posted the footage of her dad busting a move to his newfound freedom.
‘Dad is officially divorced,’ she wrote in the on-screen text.
The eight-second clip shows Mr. Fitzpatrick holding a box of Taittinger Champagne in one hand and what appears to be his divorce papers in the other.
While standing in his front yard, the father is dressed to impress in shades and a navy suit with a pocket square.
He smiles as he looks at his divorce papers before punching the air and twirling in delight.
Kyla set the video to the song ‘Request Refused’ by rapper Xavier Wulf, and if the lyrics are any indication, she dislikes her father’s ex-wife.
Since it was posted on June 28, the video has been viewed 20.8 million times and has gotten over 13,000 comments.
Many people wanted to know if Mr. Fitz’s ex-wife was Kyla’s mother or stepmother.
