Have you set a date for what promises to be the most epic wedding on television?
After many ups and downs since the show’s debut, House of Zwide characters Nkosi (former SMag cover girl Wanda Zuma) and Shoki (Shalate Sekhabi) are ready to marry in two wonderful episodes next week.
You’ve heard the Cinderella story, but it’s not true in this situation. Weeknights at 7 p.m. in the House of Zwide
Rosebank and Mambisa have joined forces. A marriage between the Zwides and the Molapos.
As House of Zwide’s first wedding, it has proven to be nothing short of spectacular on television. Expect South Africa’s best fashion, cinematography, and acting styles to have you glued to your seat and wishing you could attend the wedding personally!
But what is a wedding without a little drama? Mampho and her mom will be attending the wedding looking the most lavish.
The combination of these two characters Mampho and mom has proven to be potentially toxic, will they even make it to “You make kiss the bride”?
But it wouldn’t be a soapie wedding without some drama, and Nkosi’s baby mama Mampho (another former SMag cover star Gaisang K Noge) is on hand to cause mayhem – fast brew some tea, there will be a lot of sipping.
“Shoki is one wet bride.” “She’s very excited because she’s finally getting to marry the love of her life,” Sekhabi, 23, told SMag in between filming her wedding scenes.
“When Shoki first met Nkosi, she thought she had finally secured the bag and was about to leave Tembisa for a better life.” What she didn’t expect was to fall in love with Nkosi.”
The biggest hurdle in the couple’s relationship so far has been when Nkosi impregnated Mampho after one night of passion – gasp!
“Whether Shoki likes it or not, she has to accept that Mampho will be a part of their lives for the rest of their lives now that she and Nkosi have a child,” Sekhabi added.
“My character has matured so much and been through so much. It’s exciting to see her finally marry the man she loves, and she can’t wait to become a member of the Zwide family.”
The ceremony was filmed at Muldersdrift’s breathtaking Inimitable ceremony Venue, which also married Somizi Mhlongo and Mohale Motaung, as well as Tokyo Sexwale and Natacha da Silva. Let’s hope Shoki and Nkosi outlast the former.
